Sparrow Ionia Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.   Accreditation by Joint Commission is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that indicates we meet certain performance standards.  We recently finished our 2009 survey and received our Gold Seal and 3 year certificate with Joint Commission.

Our Home Care service that is now part of the Sparrow Home Care family, formerly ICMH Home Care, was named a Home Care Elite agency, being named in the top 25% of home health agencies in the nation.  Congratulations to our staff at the Ionia office of Sparrow Home Care.  Please see article.

Sparrow Ionia Hospital is the only hospital in Ionia County (population of 60,000) and located between Lansing and Grand Rapids, off the 1-96 corridor.  A full range of clinical services, including many innovative programs generally found only in large urban hospitals are available to everyone in this rural community.  We are an affiliate of Sparrow Health in Lansing.  See press release 12/18/09.
