Ionia, MI – The Board of Directors of Ionia County Memorial Hospital officially named Bill Roeser as the new Chief Executive Officer of Ionia County Memorial Hospital (ICMH).

Bill Roeser joins ICMH from Clinton Memorial Hospital, in St. Johns, where he has been serving as the Vice President of Administrative Services and Chief Operating Officer for the past 3 years.  Bill has over 24 years of health care experience with 15 years in senior management roles.  He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and went on to get his Masters in Hospital Administration from the University of Wisconsin.

“I respect and enjoy working in the smaller hospital environment and am looking forward to joining the team at Ionia County Memorial Hospital,” said Roeser.

Bill, who originally is from Grand Rapids, now resides in Okemos with his wife, Marcia, who is a surgical nurse at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.  He has two children, a daughter at Grand Valley State University and a son who is graduating this year from Okemos High School.  Bill and his wife will eventually be relocating to Ionia County.

“We are very confident that the senior leadership team we are building coupled with the exceptional employees of ICMH will continue to improve the services we provide to our communities,” stated Tom Dickinson, ICMH Board Chair.

Dickinson also stated, “On a related note, we wanted to publicly recognize George Rutherford for his continued commitment to ICMH.  George has, with your support, accomplished many key objectives over the last 16 months in the interim CEO role.  To help continue Ionia’s positive momentum, George has agreed to serve as ICMH’s Vice President and Chief Operating Officer”.

“I look forward to working with Bill and together continue the progress we have been making in strengthening Ionia County Memorial Hospital”, stated George Rutherford.
