NEW SURGEON JOINS STAFF AT ICMH

Ionia County Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce a new general surgeon, Amy B. Jentz, MD, has joined the medical staff of the hospital.  At Ionia County Memorial Hospital Dr. Jentz will be providing general surgery including, gynecological and caesarean section procedures.

            Dr. Jentz earned her BS in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Riverfalls  in Wisconsin in 1996.  She then went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree from Medical College of Wisconsin.  Dr. Jentz accomplished her general surgery residency program at Michigan State University Integrated Surgical Residency in East Lansing.  For the last 3 years she has worked in the Trauma Center at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. 

            Dr. Jentz has been very active in her schooling, taking on leadership roles when needed.  She has been a student faculty member at Michigan State University where she taught medical students and rotating residents during surgical rotations. She also assisted with developing curriculum changes for the residency program to comply with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education requirements.

            Dr. Jentz is welcoming new patients.  She is located at the Tony Balice Clinic in the Family Health Center Building, next to the hospital, at 550 E. Washington St., Ionia, She will be joining OB/GYN, Dr. Audley Mamby, Nurse Midwife, Bonnie Galloway, and Pediatrician, H.F.
