January 8, 2008 PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT AT FAMILY HEALTH CENTER IONIA The Tony Balice Clinic/Family Health Center, and Ionia County Dean Schrader, a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Medical Technology, completed his Associate Degree in Nursing at the Dean’s clinical experience includes over 20 years experience as a hospitalist, emergency medicine P.A. and staff nurse. He most recently was a physician assistant with MMPC in Greenville. He also was a member of the Emergency Medicine Group, Grand Rapids providing services at Spectrum Health and United Memorial campuses. As a Physician assistant, Mr. Schrader works interdependently with the primary care physicians. He provides diagnostic and therapeutic care, takes patient histories, writes prescriptions, performs physical examinations, orders laboratory and diagnostic studies and develops patient treatment plans. Physician Assistants are formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services. Dean also treats minor injuries by suturing, splinting, and casting. Dean Schrader, P.A.-C, RN, is welcoming new patients Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. He has joined physicians, Dr. Chris Ruthruff, Dr. Lynn Toaz, Dr. Lauren Smith, Dr. Mark Grenquist, Dr. Doyle Calley, Dr. Brian Thangamani, Dr. Amy Jentz, and Nurse Practitioner, Vickie Gregory.
