ICMH INCREASES SECURITY PROCEDURES
To comply with Homeland Security requirements for hospitals and ensure a safe environment for patients at Ionia County Memorial Hospital, the hospital is increasing its security procedures as of October 15, 2007.
The Out-Patient / Emergency entrance on Washington Street will serve as the main entrance and will continue to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There will be staff available to assist patients and visitors. The Lafayette Street entrances will be open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. (They will be locked at all other times.)
In order to improve patient privacy and promote a safer and quieter healing environment at Ionia County Memorial Hospital, access to patient care areas will be more restricted. In the Emergency Department only two visitors at a time will routinely be allowed with a patient and entrance into the department will be limited and controlled.
IICMH asks for the public’s cooperation and patience as they put into place the new security requirements.
