Ionia County Memorial Hospital's health fairs can include: Blood pressure checks, weight and height, blood sugar checks, blood testing for cholesterol levels, flexibility, grip strength, posture, % body fat, medication consultation. Regular Screenings take place during the year 2010: March 13th - See us at the Ionia Business Expo May 10th - Women's Health Check Up Day at the Tony Balice Clinic, 550 E. Community Involvement
FESTIVAL OF TREES Ionia Hospital participates in the annual Festival of Trees coordinated by the Parks and Recreation Dept. of the City of Ionia. Decorated Christmas Trees are on display for a weekend, and visitors vote for their favorite tree. Proceeds go to the Bob Miller Activity Fund to help children attend camps and clinics held by the Parks & Recreation Dept.
IONIA FREE FAIR 5K For the 4th yea
Ionia Hospital provides drinks and snacks for the participants after the race. We also provide a few runners in the annual event.
In 2009, Terri Rowley and Lois Wilber were our Ionia Hospital runners.

ACS RELAY FOR LIFE Sparrow Ionia Hospital is active in many ways though-out the community.
The 2010 Ionia Relay for Life is Friday, July 9 through Saturday, July 10th.
GIRLS' NIGHT OUT (Women's Festival of Ionia County) For 13 years Ionia Hospital has participated and been a part of the steering committee to bring this wonderful event to the women of Ionia County. This past year it was held on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the Royal Heritage Conference Center in Ionia. It was a fun night out for over 30 different business and services and many women. Ionia Hospital had a booth where you could get your blood pressure checked and gather healthcare information from Dr. Amy Jentz, Dr. Molly Craven or Nikki Reed, RN.
