Hospital Positions Open


Registered Nurse Emergency Department (Pool)

Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services guided by the Transformational Model for the Professional Practice of Nursing.  This individual is responsible for but not limited to: Plans, implements, directs and evaluates patient care according to the nursing process.  Educates patients and families according to assessed need and documents education performed, coordinates clinical patient activities in the absence of the department manager. Develops, implements, updates, and evaluates the individualized plan of care based upon assessment of the patient and in conjunction with the medical diagnosis and treatment plan, and with the patient and family.  Demonstrates knowledge and use of equipment used in department for patient care and provides a safe environment for patient, family, and caregivers. The RN will also communicate appropriate significant information and changes in patient’s condition to members of the health care team, along with documenting assessment, education, nursing interventions, and patient outcomes on the medical record.  Responds to emergencies as required and maintains medications and supplies.  Delegates, directs, and supervises implementation of care plan to LPN, PCT, CENA, or other health care workers.  Assists in physical examinations, administers routine tests, conducts training, and may provide related medical or mental health specialty services.  Demonstrates knowledge and respects patient, service provider, organizational confidentiality and HIPAA Security procedures and protocols as defined under the HIPAA Privacy and Security Procedures. Qualified candidates must have/meet the following requirements: Current Michigan license to practice as a registered nurse, possess interpersonal communication skills, critical thinking skills as well as clinical knowledge needed to deliver quality patient care.  Physically able to do lifting, moving, and transporting of patients and demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to provide age specific care.  Care is based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, cultural, and spiritual needs.

 

 

Registered Nurse (Pool) - Oncology

Responsible for providing professional nursing services and intravenous chemotherapy and chemotherapy infusions to the patients in the Oncology practice.  The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates individual patient care in conjunction with and under the supervision of the physician according to policies, procedures, and standards of care. Qualified individuals need to have a current Michigan license to practice as a registered nurse. Experience in an ambulatory setting, chemotherapy administration certification required and ONS certification preferred.  Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans related to the field of Oncology. Develop plan of care and requires visual and auditory acuity necessary to monitor a patient’s condition and to operate office equipment.

 

 

Registered Nurse (Pool) – Perioperative Surgery

Provides professional nursing services guided by the Transformational Model for the Professional Practice of Nursing to the Surgery Unit.  Accepts responsibility for the direction of co-workers in the implementation of the nursing care plan to maximize patient outcomes.  Qualified individuals need to have a current Michigan license to practice as a registered nurse.  Physically able to do lifting, moving, and transporting of patients.  Demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to provide age specific care and must meet unit specific requirements.

 

 

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Full-time)
Provide anesthesia and pain management services to emergency and surgical patients of both an elective and emergency nature. This individual will conduct pre-op and post-op evaluation, inter-operative and other monitoring, and documentation of same. Provide guidance and counsel to anesthesia and support staff which may include in-services and orientation. Complete special projects/tasks as assigned by Administration (responds to Code Blue, inserts IVs, etc). Demonstrate knowledge and respects patient, service provider, organizational confidentiality and HIPAA Security procedures and protocols as defined under the HIPAA Privacy and Security Procedures. Qualified Candidates must have Current Michigan license to practice as a certified registered nurse anesthetist, an advanced degree in Nursing with four years experience in anesthesia. Strong, positive interpersonal and communication skills are required along with experience in administrative or management areas. Mastery of critical thinking skills as well as of nursing practice and leadership skills is a must. Certified in BLS, ALS; PALS preferred.

 

 

ICMH-PROS Position Open

Physical Therapist (Part-time)
Responsible for carrying out, supervising and/or delegating physical therapy patient care as prescribed by the physician and approved standard physical therapy procedures and practices. To clearly and accurately document actions taken according to the standards of Physical Therapy. This position is also responsible for: Treating patients in a manner consistent with the prescribing physician order, maintaining timely and accurate records of patient treatment, instructing patient/family in home exercise program and use of rehabilitative equipment. Qualified candidates must be licensed in the State of Michigan as a Physical Therapist.
