Medical Care and Special Care

 

The Medical/Surgical Care Unit at Ionia County Memorial Hospital is a 17 bed unit with large, comfortable, private rooms.  We specialize in the compassionate care and treatment of patients of all ages, except infants.  Our collaborative, multidisciplinary team is dedicated to providing competent, professional 24 hours a day regardless of diagnosis, prognosis, gender, religion, nationality, or ability to pay.

 

We always strive to provide a safe, therapeutic environment, conducive to healing.  We are committed that the standards for professional nursing practice, as defined by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals, state regulatory codes, and the Nurse Practice Act are implemented, evaluated, and maintained.

 

There are no set visiting hours, however, for the comfort of our patients we suggest that you do not visit before 10:00 a.m. and arrive no later that 8:00 p.m.  Children my visit parents and grandparents when accompanied by an adult.
 

Special Care Unit (CCU/ICU)

The Critical Care Unit of ICMH is a 4-bed unit with both private and semi-private rooms.  The CCU/ICU specializes in the care and treatment of life-threatening illnesses or injuries by providing 24-hour monitoring, assessment and intervention during each patients crisis.  Our dedicated, caring and compassionate staff will see to each patient's needs.

 

Visiting hours are for Immediate family and significant others: 24 hours a day based on patient’s condition. Patient's young children may visit when accompanied by an adult.

The CCU/ICU desk can be reached at ext. 238. The Nursing Supervisor on duty may be reached at ext. 290.
